Howard Zinn: “You respond to terrorism with terrorism, and you multiply the terrorism”

“How can you make war on terrorism, if war itself is terrorism? … you respond to terrorism with terrorism, and you multiply the terrorism in the world.

And, of course, the terrorism that governments are capable of by going to war is on a far, far greater scale than the terrorism of al-Qaeda or this group or that group or another group. Governments are terrorists on an enormously large scale. The United States has been engaging in terrorism against Afghanistan, against Iraq, and now they’re threatening to extend their terrorism to other places in the Middle East.” – Howard Zinn

It’s anybody there to hear your words???….just hear…..
From the other point of view, it’s everything just OK, because only terrorism can
destroy terrorism….so….they go together out from the picture, from this world – the terrorist governments and the terrorist al-Qaeda.
    Anyway, you are so RIGHT!

    Love and Gratitude,

Yes. There was a war in Iraq and there was a war in Afghanistan. Equating them as being on the same level with each other is rather simpleminded. I suppose next I’ll hear that WWII and Vietnam were equally the same, and equally wrong. I beg to differ.

  4. The War on Terror is not a war on terror. It is a war of terror, the systematic use of fear as a psychological weapon of intimidation for political purposes. It is an attempt to normalize war as perpetual by glorifying what should be an abomination for all humanity: war itself.
